In recent events, news, and other international happenings has proven one crucial thing that is severely lacking among mankind but more so among Believers in Christ… PRAYER. Many Believers have sought to seek out judgments upon another that they themselves cannot withstand themselves in the scales of Spiritual Justice.
We all as Believers can put on all of the Spiritual Armor we want but if we d not kneel in a humbled way and pray all of that armor is good for nothing. Throughout the Psalms of David there is prayer. Matter of fact those Psalms are in themselves prayers. Some prayers of deliverance, healing, wisdom, discernment, but the vast majority are Prayers of Spiritual Warfare and Prayers to prep for battle.
Following are preparatory praise of worship and prayer for battle:
Psalm Chapter 18 & Psalms Chapter 144
Both Psalm 23 & 24 go right along together like a hand in a glove.
Psalms Chapter 23 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalms Chapter 24 (A Psalm of David.) The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Before we can ever prepare for any Spiritual Battle of Warfare we must do what is stated in 2nd Chronicles 7:14.
We cannot go into any battle under any warfare conditions if our minds, hearts, and souls are not right before the Lord thy God. Everything that we would ultimately be done in vain.
The mysterious obverse of 2nd Chronicle 7:14 is 14:7.
When God’s people in Judea hit their knees and prayed crying out in repentance seeking forgiveness they were heard by God and he answered their cries. Now, the ‘prospering’ mentioned in not just a monetary one, more so a spiritual prospering one. They gained a greater admiration of respect of honor and obedience towards God. Their minds were filled with the wisdom of God. Their hearts were filled with his undying love, and their souls were more filled with humility in that through God’s grace and mercy He sufficed on His end with with His holy hand of Shalom-Peace.
Psalms Chapter 89 is so full of God’s richness of His holy divine providence that you must read to see how richly and merciful He was upon David.
Powerful excerpt of that chapter : David was God’s servant and even he took time to praise and seek God’s face on matters.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. 5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. 6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
WHAT DOES YESHUA JESUS SAY ABOUT PRAYER?
Matthew 6:5-15 (ESV) “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Note: Our prayers are either to be done in private or in a closed group of Fellow Believers, not as a spectacle before others.
Continuation of Matthew 6:5-15
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
The Lord's Prayer (Traditional)
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from the evil one.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
We should never be afraid to seek out God through our Lord & Savior Yeshua Jesus Christ and not pray.
Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The Power Of Your Prayer Life Dr. Charles Stanley
Transforming, energizing, life-giving—there’s nothing like praying to Almighty God. Yet so many of us struggle with spending dedicated alone time with Him. In this motivating message, Dr. Stanley details how to build a powerful prayer life and explains the benefits that come with doing so. As we spend time on our knees before the Lord, He is busy transforming the world around us and the world within us. What could be better?
Our prayer life is our spiritual warfare, without it we cannot win the day in God’s name. Without the hand of God through our Lord & Savior we are powerless in this world.
In this world of chaos and stresses we forget about this alone time with God. Our relationship depends upon our prayer life aka communication with God our Father and Yeshua Jesus. The same is said with how a couple man and woman to get to know each other, they must spend time alone with each other to establish that intimacy. Our intimacy with God and Jesus is far different, it’s extremely spiritual. Our prayer life is the most powerful in this world and against the wild arrows and bullets form Satan the devil.
In closing; Prayer is powerful, Prayer is necessary, Prayer is our connection, Prayer is preparation for Spiritual Warfare.
I hope this message touches someone’s mind, heart, and soul. I am just like you just offering a much needed message for all of us because I also speak to myself.
In humility unto our Father God Adonai.
In Yeshua HaMashiach Jesus Christ holy name, AMEN.
