HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
CELEBRATING REAL WOMEN THAT ARE MOTHERS
05/12/23 for 05/14/2023
(Since we will all be busy of some sort or another this weekend, publishing this very Special Message on Friday the 12th. for Sunday the 14th.)
When all that are much older think back on the many loving memories of growing up we tend to get emotional deep inside when thinking of our Mothers, Moms, and Mommas. These women gave birth and conceived us into this world. They nurtured us in good times and bad times in our lives. They fed us so good that we developed a special memory of our very special and favorite foods they prepared and cooked for us.
For us that are boys there’s a much different and a very special bond formed, much different than girls. Us boys treasure our mothers in a way that cannot be put into words. However, if another boy is disrespectful to our mothers we handle business. For those of us men that are still Momma’s Boy that mantel is carried with a pride that even God would be proud of. Our mothers are our teacher, guide, mentor, nurse, doctor, and so many other notable and honorable titles.
For those of us that are girls, there’s a very unique bond formed and a very different relationship. The mother and daughter relationship is one of ups and downs. Learning what kind of woman to grow into and maybe also what not to grow into. And hopefully, if the bond is strong, it can grow into a friendship of mutual respect in the later years. The mother makes the daughter stronger so when they are on their own they can protect themselves. A good daughter will always say to good mother; "You taught me to be independent, but she always has support, no matter what".
For our grandmothers, that’s a very extra special Mother indeed. She is the one that you can always go to if you need a little something extra by the way of money, sweets, cookies, and other things. Our grandmothers are (were) the glue that kept the family together. When times of family get togethers you knew where you always were going to Grand-maw’s House, not Grand-Dad’s, Grandmother’s house.
The real women in our lives that are Mothers are very special women. As Boys that grow up to be men and girls that grow up to be women our earthly anchor is always our Moms.
Our Mothers no matter what were our Angels in our eyes.
From us Boys & Men; Randy Travis narrates a song telling a friend he knows there are angels just by looking in his mother's eyes. "Angels" by Randy Travis
Our first real Hero is our Mom.
From our Girls & Women; This sentimental ode explores the many roles that a mother has in her child's life. "Somebody's Hero" by Jamie O'Neal
As boys, as girls, as Men, as Women we owe our earthly lives to our mothers; to our God in Heaven we owe Him a huge debt of gratitude for giving us life by breathing it into our souls.
Even the men who follow Jesus took His own earthly mother as their own for they knew the love that she had for him was one unmatched. Some of us may have never grew up with our biological mothers; but we find motherly love in other women that are moms and grandmothers that’s just as strong, loving, and always loyal.
John 19:26-27 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
To anyone young out there that is reading this; please love your Mother, if you don’t have one, love a woman that you call a Mother for when ty are gone, they are gone. Love and hug her as much as you can. Take it from me, I’ve been without a mother going on for almost 7 years.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MOMMAS!
LOVE,
FEN & K. L. Cobb, Jr
